Prerequisite
Before applying to the MCRI, students attend a MATTER Innovation Hub where they are immersed in the TEAL+ model — technology-enabled active learning. They arrive as confident, collaborative, and curious learners.
Learn more about TEAL+At the MCRI, essential skills are not separate from the technical curriculum — they are the foundation upon which all technical learning is built. We don't teach empathy after we teach Jamf Pro. We build students who lead with empathy, and then we give them Jamf Pro.
Every course is designed to be applied immediately. Students don't learn in isolation — they practice their skills in context, in teams, on real problems. When an employer partner meets an MCRI graduate, they're not meeting someone who has passed a test. They're meeting someone who has worked.

Students build foundational knowledge of Apple platforms, hardware, and the Apple ecosystem — developing the skills that underpin everything else in the curriculum.
From Swift fundamentals to building and shipping real iOS apps. Students progress through Apple's full Learn to Code sequence and earn the App Development with Swift credential.
Hands-on training in enterprise Apple device management using Jamf Pro and Jamf Protect — the exact tools students will use on day one in their employer partner roles.
Empathy, collaboration, problem-solving, and professional communication. These skills are not an add-on — they are the foundation every technical skill is built upon.
Students learn to work alongside AI tools as a professional multiplier — using agentic AI to accelerate development, solve problems, and deliver higher-quality work in less time.
Deep familiarity with macOS as both a user environment and an administration target — essential for supporting the Apple-first workplaces of every MCRI employer partner.

Courses are delivered in person by industry professionals and are paired with certifications to validate student learning. Throughout the program, students continuously apply both technical and essential skills in collaborative, real-world contexts.
Apprenticeship Model
After completing the curriculum, students transition into a six-month apprenticeship with an employer partner, paid for by Jamf Community Education Initiatives.
Students who successfully complete the curriculum and are offered a full-time role with an employer partner earn the MCRI Professional badge, signifying both technical readiness and strong foundational professional skills.
